I’m convinced you understand the photographic process as well as anyone.
John J
I appreciate the way you write. I have read many camera books written by guys like Thom Hogan (Nikon) and I find your writing and approach much better! I don’t mean to throw Thom under the bus but some of his books seem like he is just trying to hit 500-600 pages. Your writing contains more value per paragraph (more useful information). The fact that this information is coupled with your experience and “the why” is very helpful.
Dave B
Am loving your approach and content in the book! I used the other guy (Darrell Young!) for that – it was helpful but not very engaging! Love the way you explain things with humour etc thrown in!
Justin D
This is a fantastic book and a fantastic little camera ! Thank You so much for the bonuses and for Your energy to let us develop what we love the most!
Christer E
Thank you for this book. It has really sparked my interest and looks like a great way to improve my photography.
Geoff B
Not only do you create the best and most informative photography guides, you also provide great service. Thank you very much for your help.
Tony O
The book is great, the tips are excellent and the book is very informative.
Steve M
First, I’m really thrilled about your book! Being quite new to Fuji (switching from Nikon) I got the tip to buy your book in a Facebook Fuji X-T20 user group. Excuse me for this looong mail, but I just wanted to explain how very impressed and excited I am about your excellent book 😉
Peter Ishii
Tony, thank you! I have already learned a great deal about the Mk II, after feeling somewhat overwhelmed. Your book has helped immensely.
Chris Anderson
You are as good as your word. Many thanks for this. I have already found your book of inestimable help in figuring our how to use this wonderful camera.
Russell Caplan
Recently, I purchased your E-M1 Mark II e-book and I have to say that it is packed with more information than I expected. The tips really make a huge difference. It is obvious you did an awful lot of hard work to put this all together. It is the best MKII resource I’ve seen.
Dennis Mook
Tony – many thanks indeed for the updates and phone companion. I have found your Guide invaluable and am looking forward to a deep dive into the update…
Sam Bolton
I have 60 years photographing and a couple of DSLRs, I got the X100F as a “carry-along” camera. I truly didn’t understand all the options and how they interacted until I read your book. You get 5-stars in every way for it.
Jim Mirick
I thank you, and I do spread the word on your books. Simple, clear, precise, and on-target! Professionally laid out and printed too.
Randy Gusdorf
Many thanks for the updates. Your book about the X100F is really outstanding. I did read a few books dedicated to cameras, but yours is the best by far.
Georges Ringotte
I am a long-time Xpro1 and X100F shooter, and wanted a more readable document than the Fuji manual. I love the way you lay things out—it is clear that you’ve thought through what would be most useful to a photographer.
Chris Min
This is the best book I have seen about an excellent camera. I refer to the book frequently because there is always something new to learn.
Steve Fowler
Thanks, Tony- you’re as good as Fuji with updates- appreciate it!
Richard Fee
The book is great. The more I use my XT2 the better your book becomes. The camera settings on the phone is a brilliant idea.
Bill Dodd
Your X-Pro 2 book just arrived and I am loving it. I’m new to Fuji after a decade plus of shooting Nikon DSLR’s. This book is the perfect resource for me. And, I love your writing style too. Feel like you’re sitting down next to me talking about this wonderful camera and how to better understand all its capabilities!
Russ Stamp
Thanks very much. I’ve gotten a bit into the eBook and very much enjoy the writing style and content, especially the tips.
Jerry Jackson
I knew your EBOOK would be very useful, and it is. The xt2 is fairly intuitive and I have it set up however wanted to know more and verify my settings. Your EBOOK is excellent….clear and easy to understand. Your writing style is concise, to the point and very easy to follow. It is idiot proof.
Laura Knight
“I couldn’t resist contacting you to express how THOROUGHLY delightful / informative I’m finding your book. Outstanding! doesn’t begin to cover it, especially given the gentle humor scattered throughout to take the edge off of the technicalities. I adore it when an author pays attention to, and accommodates, the psychology of the reader.”
Pam Gaines
“Your book is a Godsend – I would’ve been completely lost with the manual.”
Dave Gerard
“I want to tell you that, like countless others, I am a big fan of your ebooks because of their plain language and conversational approach to highly technical topics.”
David Drake
“I want to say Thank You Very Much, not only for your personal assistance, but also for writing such a cohesive and clear book spoken in an easy to understand and implement manner. You pointers and insight with in depth practical knowledge of the camera I’m using to start my career as a photographer / photo journalist has allowed me to vastly shorten my learning curve.”
Lee Shatto
“Have started reading your book and I am very impressed! I really enjoy your writing style which is both friendly and interesting whilst simultaneously providing a great deal of technical information. Well done! “
James Cox
“I bought your book about three weeks ago and can only wish that more books were written with the true love you have for the subject matter that is therewith explained.”
Mauro Jimenez
“To anyone who is having second thoughts about paying extra for color [printed version], I say “Stop thinking. Order it NOW!” The additional money is well spent, and you only spend it once. I bought your A700 book (no color) and wished I had gone for the upgrade. The difference is unbelievable. What a great book. Thanks for writing it.”
Perry MaGill
“I have to say that your book was the best manual i can remember reading on any device. I think it is admirable how eager you are to share your knowledge and help people develop their own process for acquiring knowledge. It was a pleasant surprise to learn so much about photography in general from what i was expecting was a camera manual.”
Steve Newman
“So far, this guide looks OUTSTANDING. I cannot believe you let this go for the price you do. It’s incredible!”
Ferdinand Lucero Jr.
“Been glued to this book since morning. Unlike most other guides that are more user manuals this one is pure insight to using the camera in photographic situations.”
Rui from DynaxDigital.com
“What a fantastic piece of work! Somehow, you kept to your very high standards and still covered all the STUFF. I don’t have time to sit with a camera and a lousy manual, sort it all out, and take notes. What you did in your book just blows me away. You covered EVERY point that needed attention. You made all the STUFF accessible. You have taken on a Herculean task and somehow done a masterful, beautiful job.”
William Naff
“I am enjoying the book greatly. You do a great job with explanations. I am honestly more of an “intermediate” level photographer – and find the book very easy to follow. I have been able to jump in and make some beautiful pictures already. Thanks for the great book!”
Theresa Newton
“The way your book takes the reader through the menus makes the material much easier than the Owner’s Manual and provides significantly more information. I learned a lot! I’ve now adopted your Panorama technique, top-down & rotate camera 90 Degrees. Didn’t know I could see the “blinkies” in replay to show lost detail in the highlights & shadows.”
Ron White
“As an ebook it’s rather good, written with the more experienced hobbyist in mind and not just a re-write of the manual. For my money it’s better than the other X100S book and is worth a read.”
Nippa
“I owned the x100 for a few years and upgraded to the x100s about 9 months ago. I was pretty familiar with the camera, and have many years of (amateur photographic) experience, but your Complete Guide to Fujifilm’s X100s Camera has expanded my knowledge in many ways.”
Paul Rogers
“I have finished skimming Tony’s book and it was totally worth the investment and time…I so appreciate Tony putting things together and moving on a faster learning curve towards getting the camera mastered and out of the way.”
David Yeiter
“The writing/organization of the book is excellent, the best aftermarket camera manual I’ve read. The language is surprisingly lithe, with just the right amount of explanation, not the usual attempt to explain the entire photographic process in reference to why various camera controls are included. I can’t say I look forward to curling up with a manual, but as a professional photographer I need to master my equipment. Mr Phillip’s book is as close as it gets to enjoying a read of this sort.”
